Course Overview
Strabane Golf Course is an exquisite 18-hole parkland course set in the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains, 1 mile south of Strabane. Designed by Eddie Hackett, the course is a par 69 measuring 5,543 metres off the Medal tees (White). This rolling parkland course is intersected by the River Mourne and the water hazard first comes into play at the testing par 4 6th hole, 'The River' where after a very demanding tee shot the golfer is faced with a medium iron to a narrow sloping green - an absolute card wrecker! Another noteworthy hole is a classic par 3, named 'Graveyard' which requires great courage and accuracy with an elevated green protected by bunkers front and sides. Strabane is generally considered to be an excellent test of golf.
