Course Overview

Founded in 1889, Killymoon Golf Club is one of the country's oldest clubs. It was one of the first courses created during a boom in golf development that occurred in the late 19th century. The golf course takes its name from Killymoon Castle and presents a fair amount of challenges. The outward nine begins with a par 5 that is both scenic and demanding. It is a tricky dogleg hole that skirts the woods of the castle. Killymoon Golf Club's signature hole though, is the par-4 10th, which is nicknamed "Giant's Grave." The daunting tee shot requires tremendous accuracy in order to make it to a safe spot on the narrow-necked fairway that has trees densely positioned along its sides. It poses a formidable challenge to even the most advanced golfers.
