Course Overview

One of two 18-hole courses at Green Garden Country Club, the Gold Course is a medium length golf course routed through rolling terrain. The course, which opened in 1991, 18 years after the facility's original Blue Course, is 6,733 yards from the back set of four tee boxes. It was designed by Buz Diddier, who also crafted Nettle Creek Golf Course in Morris, Ill., less than an hour away. Located about 45 minutes southwest of Chicago, the Gold Course is laid out in a picturesque country setting. There are bunkers, mature trees and water that come into play on several holes. Most notably, the par-3 13th features an island green. The course offers excellent practice facilities, including an outdoor driving range, an indoor range, short-game area and putting green. There's even a practice hole. In addition to the two 18-hole courses, Green Garden Country Club also offers its newest addition, the Emerald Links nine-hole course. And inside the clubhouse is a full-service restaurant and bar.
