York Golf Club, situated 5 miles north of the historic city of York, is a serene blend of parkland and heathland - known as a lowland heath style. The tree lined course has undulating rather than steep fairways and there is a definite emphasis on natural beauty rather than artificial features. With the course measuring 6,290 yards (mens competition tees) and 5,627 yards (ladies tees) York offers a fair challenge to all levels of golfer. The greens at York are regularly acclaimed to be amongst the finest in North Yorkshire.
