Course Overview
Originally a William Langford design, Winnetka Golf Course is an enjoyable municipal layout that caters to a variety of players. The course, which originally opened in 1914, has four sets of tees and can play as long as 6,517 yards. The layout evolved over the years with C.D. Wagstaff renovating the course in 1930 and Jacobson Golf Design restoring the layout with modern touches in 2007. The course has bunkers on many of the holes, especially around the greens, and a few water features, most notably between the par-4 11th and par-4 14th holes and on the par-3 seventh hole. Winnetka Golf Club also has a driving range, short-game area and practice green. A golf academy at the facility offers lessons from its professional staff. And a golf simulator is also available. The clubhouse has a fully-stocked golf shop as well as the WGC Grille, which serves both breakfast and lunch as well as beverages.
