Course Overview

Founded in 1924, Windnes Golf Club is located in a scenic parkland setting. It has a central location less than five minutes away from the Cheshire Town Centre and offers a warm welcome to golfers and social visitors alike. The current course set up was officially opened on the 11th June 1967, when the club purchased the land & also decided to extend the clubhouse over the ensuing years. The course at Widnes is tight & tree lined, meaning accuracy is demanded throughout the round. Strategically placed bunkers & natural hazards await errant shots, punishing golfers lacking the required precision. Visitors to Windes can expect to find small fast rolling putting surfaces, which coupled with the tight fairways & hazards, make it a great challenge of accuracy for golfers of all capabilities. The new clubhouse now offers a modern & relaxing setting for all visitors to the club. The extensive bar & restaurant menu make the clubhouse the perfect place to spend some time following a round at Widnes. The patio overlooking the 18th green is a popular spot for most visitors to reflect on the golfing experience.
