Course Overview
Village Green is an increasingly rare commodity in this era of titanium drivers and gimmicky golf. The straightforward, parkland-style golf layout speaks to the course's origins in the 1960s. The focus of Ray Didier's design was challenging playability, and for many years Village Green was a staple of the central Lake County golf scene. Mundelein School District 120 then purchased the golf course as a site for possible expansion, but soon postponed development of the land indefinitely. GolfVisions Management, Inc. was selected to operate the course and has given Village Green a fresh lease on life since taking the helm in January 2008. With its convenient location, a renovated clubhouse and a commitment to top-notch course conditioning, Village Green is once again a must-play for Lake County golfers looking for a fun experience on a well-maintained city golf course at affordable rates.
