Course Overview
Verde River Golf and Social Club, in Rio Verde, Arizona, is a 7,057-yard, par-72 traditional Arizona championship golf course. Recently redesigned by Tom Lehman, the course has received multiple awards from both Golf Digest and Golfweek. Located within the Mazatzal Mountains and Tonto National Forest, the only distraction you'll have to face is the natural beauty of the land. The holes on the Verde River Golf and Social Club course are separated by desert sand, cacti, and plenty of natural hazards to make your round a little more challenging. However, if you can find the fairways off the tee, they are kept in perfect condition and you'll have a favorable lie to hit into the greens. Speaking of which, they play fast and true for a public course, and will take discipline to quickly learn how to approach their speeds and breaks. They have two PGA instructors that offer lessons, so if you're more in the mood to learn and practice than play on your own, Verde River Golf and Social Club is still a great place to visit.
