Course Overview

Vale Royal Golf Club was designed in 1998 by Simon Gidman, and despite its tender years it still manages to hold all the values of a traditional members golf club, which has meant it has built a reputation as being one of the best golf clubs in Cheshire. Although the golf club is relatively new, Vale Royal actually dates back to the 13th Century, and its spectacular great hall makes for an impressive place for larger groups to hold an event. The club also boasts a practice range, chipping area and putting green which are available for visitors to use. Vale Royal Golf Course is a par 72 parkland course that measures 6,463 yards in length, and it’s USGA greens and tees make it playable all year round. Although only built in 1998 the course has matured nicely and its well positioned bunkers and water features mean that positional play off the tee is key to shooting a good score. The par 4, 7th hole is definitely one to look out for: a long par 4 that measures 467 yards in length. If you go left off the tee you will find the water, so keep to the right hand side of the fairway, from here you will have a mid to long iron left into the green. Any approach shots that land short will be gathered up by the strategically placed bunkers and anything long and left will be swallowed up by the Rookery Pool. Walk off with a par here and you are a happy golfer.
