Timberton is Hattiesburg's only 4 1/2 star rated golf course and is the leader in championship golf in South Mississippi. Since opening in July of 1991, Timberton Golf Club has consistently been recognized by all of golf's most respected publications. In GOLFWEEK's 2012 "Best of the States" issue, Timberton was ranked among Mississippi's top ten golf courses for the 20th consecutive year. Readers of the MISSISSIPPI BUSINESS JOURNAL have consistently ranked Timberton Golf Club as #3 in the state every year since 2006.
