Course Overview
The slightly shorter of the two courses at Stowe Acres Country Club, the South Course is also the older of the two layouts. Originally opened in 1921, it was later redesigned by Geoffrey Cornish in 1961. A little more exacting than the North perhaps, the South Course is a par 72 that covers 6,821 yards from the back tees. It has its share of pine trees, bunkers and water features. Course management and precision are a must, no matter which of the four sets of tees you play. Borth courses at Stowe Country Club, which is located between Boston and Worcester, are served by a recently renovated Victorian clubhouse, which has a fully stocked golf shop as well as the Champions? Grille. Stowe Country Club also has excellent practice facilities, which include a driving range, short-game area and putting green. Lessons are available from the Stowe Country Club?s golf academy.
