Course Overview

Silkstone Golf Club in Barnsley, South Yorkshire is home to a championship golf course and some of the finest practice facilities in the county. There is a large practice ground along with a short-game area with an array of bunkers, and a two-tiered green to get the wedges working. The putting green next to the 1st tee will give an indication on how the ball will roll on the course. The club was originally established in 1893 and saw a major redevelopment of the course in 2008, as well as the clubhouse where you can enjoy stunning views over the Silkstone valley towards Emley Moor and Cannon Hall. The parkland course at Silkstone Golf Club plays 6,370 yards off the yellows and is of championship standard. In 2008 the course saw major development with 7 new holes that have now bedded-in well and are maturing into a fine test. The inclusion of water, sand and trees make for an interesting 18 holes that can catch many out if not careful.
