Course Overview
Founded in 1925, this historic championship golf course is an affiliate of European Tour star, Nick Dougherty. Regarded as one of the best golf courses in the area, Shaw Hill also has a fantastic clubhouse and restaurant, making it a fantastic day out. This par 72, 6,246 yard parkland/woodland golf course is considered by many to be one of the finest parkland courses in the North of England. With each hole having its own unique features, it is hard to pick a signature hole. However the 8th hole is definitely one you wont forget. Firstly your tee shot will have to carry a stream and if you manage that, you will then have to negotiate a pond to make the green with your second shot. If you have successfully done both of these and you manage to two-putt, it will be a well-deserved par on this stroke index 1.
