Course Overview
Considered one of the better values in the area, Shambolee is a public golf course with a nice variety of holes. From the back tees, this par-72 layout, which was designed by Charles Maddox and opened in 1964, plays 6,748 yards. From the most forward of four sets, it's 5,040 yards. The course features relatively small greens, so a good short game is a must. The parkland layout features quite a few mature trees but few bunkers. The no. 1 handicap hole is the 559-yard par-5 second, a slight dogleg left that plays through a narrow chute of trees. The course ends with a 165-yard par 3. Shambolee Golf Course also has a driving range and putting green. Lessons are available. And inside the clubhouse is a well-stocked golf shop as well as a restaurant and bar, the latter of which is the perfect place to regale stories on the links.
