Course Overview
Shady Oaks Country Club is a highly rated semi-private (membership plans are available) that rewards accuracy both off the tee and the approaches. The course, which opened in 1961, is a parkland layout with plenty of mature trees, bunkers and small greens. It plays just 6,212 yards from the tips, but it's anything but easy, even for long hitters. There a few bunkers protecting and some of the fairways are lined by thick forest. With four sets of tees, however, it's a course that caters to different levels of players. The facility does not offer a driving range, but there is a short-game area and practice putting green. Shady Oaks Country Club also has a golf shop as well as bar, which serves snacks and sandwiches in addition to beverages. The club also has a policy of letting juniors age 11 and under play free with a playing adult.
