Course Overview

One of two 18-hole courses in the Perkin Park District, Parkview Golf Course is municipal facility friendly to all levels of players. Around 6,000 yards from the back set of three tee boxes, this parkland layout has a few trees, gently rolling fairways, undulating greens and a few bunkers. Most of the bunkers protect greens, though some greens have none. The course first opened as nine holes, designed by Charles Maddox, in 1930. Another nine holes, designed by Robert Harris, were added in 1954. Today, the popular course is a par 70 with two par 5s. The compact layout is also ideal for walking, though powered golf carts are also available. There is no driving range, but there is a short-game area as well as a practice putting green. Lessons are also available for juniors and adults, individually or in group clinics. The clubhouse features a well-stocked golf shop.
