Course Overview

With double wide fairways and super conditioning, the golf course at Palm Desert Country Club is a very playable and well-kept 18-hole layout that has been serving the area for well over 50 years. Surrounded by spectacular views of the Santa Rosa, San Jacinto and San Gorgonio Mountains, the modest-length course – which opened in 1962 and designed by William F. Bell and later renovated by Cary Bickler in 2006 -- winds its way through a neighborhood. But with plenty of room to hit the ball, the homes really don't come into play. There is water on a few holes, like between the eighth and ninth, bunkers both on the fairways and protecting the greens.. The course has four sets of tees ranging from 5,138 yards to 6,357 yards. Practice facilities include a driving range, practice bunker, short-game area and practice green. The clubhouse offers a well-stocked golf shop and restaurant with pub-style food and drinks.
