Course Overview
Family-owned Oak Ridge Golf Club is a challenging, championship golf course that sits on farmland that once had tobacco and corn. Owned by the Strycharz family since 1977, the course, designed by George and Tom Fazio, was ranked the ninth best course in New England by Golf Advisor readers in 2016. Tree-lined with plenty of twists and turns, the par-70 course has five sets of tees and can play as long as 6,702 yards. The par 5s are particularly difficult with the dogleg left 565-yard sixth and 566-yard 12th the nos. 1 and 2 handicap holes respectively. The par 3s are all pretty challenging as well, with three of the five playing more than 199 yards or longer. There's no driving range at Oak Ridge Golf Club, but lessons are available from the teaching pro. The club is also a popular site for weddings with beautiful banquet facilities for special occasions, functions and outings.
