Course Overview

Mount Juliet's idyllic resort in Thomastown is anchored by Mount Juliet Golf Club. The golf club's historic opening in 1991 kicked off with a match between golf legends Christy O'Connor and Jack Nicklaus, and that same spirit of the game and competition has carried on since. Mount Juliet, Nicklaus' first and only design in Ireland, played host to the WGC American Express Golf Championship in both 2002 and 2004, as well as the Irish Open on three occasions. At 7,112 yards, Mount Juliet Golf Club is one of the longest courses in the country. The fairways and greens are immaculate and contoured (Tiger Woods declared that Mount Juliet had "perfect fairways ... and the best greens we have putted on all year") while eight holes play over water. Following a round, test your short game on Mount Juliet's par-3 putting course, which features miniature bunkers, water hazards and holes of up to 36 yards in length.
