Course Overview
Located in the Mendips Hills, Mad Swans is the first of its kind in an industry-shifting initiative endorsed by golfing greats Sir Nick Faldo, Jack Nichlaus and Tiger Woods. Our 12-hole course, designed by renowned golf course architects Mackenzie & Ebert, preserves the traditional spirit of the game over a more condensed, time-friendly format. Having worked on some of the most iconic and historic courses in the world - including several in the Open Championship rota, such as Royal Portrush, Royal St George’s and Turnberry – our designers have poured their expertise into 12 testing holes that weave between lush treescapes, water features and Mendips stone hollows. It’s a format designed to challenge your game, without hijacking your day. Its golf, reimagined; faster, more fun, and perfectly sized. The Lodge is anything but a traditional clubhouse, perfect for a pre-match catch-up or post-round debrief, whether you were out on the course or not. Our Hangout Bar, Pizzeria & Terrace gives you a choice of causal refreshments with upstairs views overlooking the 6th & 10th holes, while our Potting Shed Restaurant & Lounge gives you a more snug, formal dining option. Check-in at The Shop where you’ll find everything you might need, from scorecards and headcovers to canned cocktails for the round.
