Course Overview
With tree-lined fairways and subtle mounding and doglegs, the Links of Jacksonville is a solid test of golf, suitable for a variety of players. Designed by the late David Gill, a prolific Midwest golf course architect from Illinois, the course opened in 1979. It has four sets of tees and can play as long as 6,826 yards. While there isn't an abundance of bunkers or hazards, the holes require accuracy and course management. The holes also vary in length, and a couple stand out in difficulty, like the par-4 fifth, which is 440 yards long, or the 558-yard 18th, which presents a few obstacles on the way to the green. The Links of Jacksonville offers a driving range as well as golf lessons. Inside the clubhouse is a golf shop and restaurant and bar, which serves the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a variety of food and drink.
