Course Overview
Laytown and Bettystown Golf course was created over 100 years ago and is a fine example of what a traditional links golf course should look like in Ireland. At 6450 yards, the course is not overly long by modern day standards, however there are many features associated with a links course which golfers will enjoy, such as narrow green entrances, blind approaches, humps, hallows, and out-and-back routing that follows the natural contours of the land. These features can be attributed to Robert Browne, their professional since 1967 whom has been responsible for various course changes over this 50 year period. Holes six, nine and sixteen are currently the three par three holes available at the course which also boasts short par fours at holes two, fourteen and seventeen which each measuring less than 345 yards. This course is guaranteed to challenge all levels of golfer.
