Course Overview

With a history that goes back to 1898, Lakewood Country Club is a welcomed choice for public golfers in the Jersey Shore area. This classic parkland layout was originally designed by the great Tom Bendelow, and 22 years later it was updated in by Walter Travis. Today, the par-72 course plays to 6,589 yards from the back tees with generous fairways, challenging greens, bunkers, and mature trees to navigate. The course has four sets of tees, so all levels of players can enjoy the course layout. LCC has all the amenities of a great course – carts, lockers, driving range and a putting and chipping green in a friendly and genially competitive atmosphere. We are a public course and open year-round, weather permitting. After you play or if you just want to relax, choose from the Claflin House – Maggie’s casual, upscale taproom and eatery located in our historic 1885 mansion, Maggie’s outdoor Tiki Bar for a drink, a snack or a full meal, or Maggie’s Underground – our nightlife hub for music, comedy, and sports. If you’re planning a group outing, get in touch with us.
