Course Overview

Kings Mountain Country Club, built in 1945, is one of the most unique courses in the area. Located a short drive from Charlotte, nestled among the seventy foot pines awaits a great test of golf for any level of player. This scenic mountain course with its subtle elevation changes and tree lined fairways presents challenges, risks and rewards. The course offers 6,483 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.5 and it has a slope rating of 121. Designed by Porter Gibson, the Kings Mountain golf course opened in 1946. Bryant Wells manages the course as the President. The front 9 at Kings Mountain Country Club offers a forgiving experience with side by side fairways and somewhat straight layouts. The back 9 offers a more challenging experience where the golfer will be faced with higher slopes and more dogleg holes that will require strategically placed shots to take advantage of the green locations.
