Course Overview
Historic Black Knight is a scenic 9-hole public golf course located in Beckley, West Virginia. Originally established in 1929 as a private club, the course features a classic design with rolling hills, raised greens, and a par-36 layout spanning just over 3,100 yards. Rich in history and nestled on former coal company land, it was designed by renowned architect Fred Findlay and later updated by Ferdinand Garbin. Now owned by the city of Beckley, Historic Black Knight offers a welcoming atmosphere with amenities including a clubhouse, dining areas, event spaces, and a pool, making it a beloved destination for both golfers and community events.
