Course Overview

Griffin Bell Golf Course is a public 18-hole golf course owned and operated by Georgia Southwestern State University, formerly known as the Americus Country Club. This is a fun and challenging short course, that requires the player to hit every club in the bag and demands them to hit precise iron shots into small elevated greens. The course is located right in between Andersonville and Plains, Georgia, the home of President Jimmy Carter. Griffin Bell Golf Course is a 45-minute drive north of Albany, 60-minute drive southeast on Hwy 280 from Columbus, a 70-minute drive southwest on HWY 49 and 26 from Warner Robins, and a 3-hour drive south on Hwy 19 from Atlanta.
