Course Overview
If you're looking for a great golf experience that won't take all day, check out the nine-hole course at Gleniffer Lake Resort. Located a little more than an hour from Calgary and less than two hours from Edmonton, the golf course is a par-36 layout that plays 3,278 yards from the back tees. Situated just a hundred meters or so from the lake shores, the course has a great variety of holes that work around four ponds. This great walking course has two par 5s, including the second, which is the no. 1 handicap hole. The hole plays 518 yards and has water on both sides of the fairway. It doesn't get any easier on the next hole. The 428-yard par-4 third is straightaway, but there's a lake on the left side of the fairway all the way to the green. The golf course also offers a couple of nice par-3 holes, including the fourth, which plays 161 yards across a pond. The course ends with a challenging dogleg left par-4 that features a lake on the left side of the fairway all the way to the green. Besides the golf course, Gleniffer Lake Resort also has a driving range, chipping green, practice bunker, and practice putting green. The resort also has a 13,000-square-foot clubhouse, where you will find a well-stocked golf shop with the latest apparel and accessories. There's also a restaurant and lounge, perfect for relaxing after a round with a sandwich and a cold beverage. Gleniffer Lake Resort also has three swimming pools and a marina.
