Girton Golf Club sitting in the village of Girton on the edge of Cambridge offers well-equipped and well-organised members club with excellent facilities. Girton Golf Club boasts a beautiful Par 69 Golf course measuring in at 6012 yards from the white markers and 5417 yards off the red markers. The present highly manicured parkland course is very different from the early days when club members cut the fairways themselves with a gang mower towed behind an old Austin Seven. Nowadays the green-keeping staff has all the modern machinery required to keep the course immaculate and the greens perfect. The keen golfer will find that whilst the course is comparatively flat it is quite tight and represents a testing challenge of accuracy and control. Girton Golf Club is probably best known for its friendly and relaxed atmosphere that ensures that a round of golf, no matter how tough on the day, is a pleasurable experience.
