Course Overview
Tucked away in the heart of the Scottish Borders, this 9-hole course, designed originally by James Braid, has a history that spans all the way back to 1884. Refreshments can be enjoyed in the clubhouse while surveying the scenery and a pool table is available as well. Although having just 9 greens the course at Galashiels Golf Club plays off 16 tees allowing for a variety of different drives to get to the greens. Taking time over each shot and choosing the correct line will help card a good score, and it is not unusual to be aiming 20 yards left or right of what you think is the correct line to ensure you end up on the short stuff. Many enjoy their second experience on the course having obtained a good insight into the layout from their first time around.
