Frinton Golf Club, Essex 'the Carnoustie of the South' is a private 27-hole complex with the 18-hole, par 71 (6,265 yard) Havers Course a seaside course at first glance, not excessively long by modern standards. However, don’t be fooled by the open fairways with their lack of trees which may seem unchallenging, with tidal ditches cross many fairways requires accuracy from the tee. The ever-present and varying sea breeze, a trademark of the links course demands careful club selection on every hole testing the ability of the most experienced golfers.
