If you're looking for a great place to practice, no matter what time of year it is, or if there isn't much light left in the day, the Driving Range at Beech Woods Park is your ticket. Located inside Beech Woods Park in the Detroit suburb of Southfield, the driving range and practice center has both real grass and mats. Best of all it is lit for nighttime practice. It's also heated for wintertime practice. As long as the temperature is above 20 degrees, this 50-acre facility is open every day, so you can get in plenty of practice during the offseason. During the warmer months, however, you can practice your long game and your short game. There are also covered stalls to shield from the rain and heat. And there's a short-game area, where you can work on chipping, pitching and sand play. The Driving Range at Beech Woods Park also has practice green available for golfers who want to work on their putting skills. Snacks and beverages are available during the warmer months as well. And you can also get lessons from one of the state's finest teachers, so there's never an excuse to let your game get rusty.?
