Course Overview

Delta Hotels by Marriott St Pierre Country Club is a beautiful estate and Golf Course set in Chepstow outlined by the River Severn. The Hotel and Country Club boasts two fantastic Courses. The Championship Course which has hosted multiple major events including the Solheim cup and other tournaments that were won by 6 Ryder Cup captains. An achievement that the course is extremely proud of as they should be, it shows the magnitude of the golf course. The Mathern Course is an 18-hole course with a par of 68 and an extremely challenging course measuring 5,730 yards, this was redesigned by Ross McMurray in 2008. Looking at the Mathern course in greater detail it was redesigned by McMurray in 2008. He focused on the Tee boxes, shapes of fairway and added a small number of water features to make the course even more spectacular. Based beside the River the course has no shortage of water and this is utilized into fantastic water features that match the grandeur of the hotel. The castle like hotel makes for a fantastic place to stay if you fancy a weekend of golf playing both courses. The Mathern Course is probably the more picturesque of the two courses and that is largely down to the redevelopment work. The signature hole on this course is the 14th Par 5 which must cross two small rivers.
