Course Overview

One of the more popular public courses in the Chicago Southland area, Deer Creek Golf Club is a Larry Packard-design that's has lots of variety and challenge. The course, which opened in 1972, has four sets of tees and can play as long as 6,905 yards. The parkland layout features bentgrass greens, seven lakes, 55 bunkers and several naturalized areas where wildflowers thrive. Without an abundance of trees and fairly generous fairways, the course is fairly open off the tee, so all levels of golfers should enjoy the layout. Deer Creek Golf Club has hosted many tournaments in its history, including qualifiers for the Illinois Open. In addition to the course, the facility offers excellent practice facilities that include a full driving range and short-game practice area. Inside the clubhouse is a fully-stocked golf shop as well as a restaurant, bar and banquet room and pavilion capable of entertaining up to 400 guests.
