Course Overview

With its prime position in the Valley of the River Croal overlooking the West Pennine Moors, the Deane Golf Club is a splendid venue which has been played by such golfing greats as Sir Henry Cotton. A bar and lounge area, complete with sports TV, are available in the clubhouse where you can get a drink or a bite to eat before or after your round. With distance not being an issue, this course demands a more technical approach with plenty of iron striking and a good short game. A selection of tight tee-shots will test your shot placement, but accuracy off the tee will lead to an easy mid to short iron onto the greens. Hazards around the course come in the way of small ravines that bisect the fairways meaning that distance off the tee is paramount to a good score, something that shouldn't phase the big hitters.
