Course Overview

Established in 1893, this traditional club is thought to be one of the best in the region. The clubhouse is warm and welcoming. It is fairly large and can hold up to 150 people for a social event. The club has a very popular Sunday Roast if you are lucky enough to book a tee time on a Sunday. Measuring 6,345 yards from the white tees, Darwen Golf Course has an interesting layout. The front nine has several water hazards that golfers will need to avoid if they want to score well. The golf course can be very hilly in areas, and as a result there are some panoramic views of the surroundings from several holes; however this does mean that it can be quite tough for beginners, especially if the prevailing winds pick up.
