Course Overview

Cumberland Lake was designed in 1968 by Bill Amick, who believes “every golfer should leave the 18th green smiling.” Amick’s philosophy is reflected throughout Cumberland Lake’s 18-hole layout. In 1996, a local architect, Jeff Pate, made upgrades to the course including the removal of trees and the leveling of fairways. Cumberland Lake makes golf enjoyable for all levels of players, beginners to low handicappers. The outstanding views will be enjoyed whether playing from the red tees (5,000 yards) or the blue tees (6,800 yards). Pristine Bermuda grasses cover the entire golf course. A scenic 85-acre lake comes into view on several holes and into play on the par 3 15th and our signature hole, the par 4 18th. Other small ponds and creeks add to the character that shapes the golf course. More than 20 sand traps provide additional challenges and beauty to the par 72 layout.
