Course Overview
Opened in 1963, the No. 3 Course at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club is good test of golf, but nowhere near as overwhelming as the club's signature course, Dubsdread (No. 4). Designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee, the Course No. 3 at Cog Hill routes through gently-rolling wooded terrain, offering a blend of both long and short holes. Throughout the round golfers encounter a mixture of bunkers and a few water features to test their shot-making abilities. The greens and fairways are both bentgrass. The course actually incorporates some holes that were actually part of the No. 1 Course before it was renovated in the early 1960s. Cog Hill has a driving range, short-game practice area and putting green to serve all four courses. There's also a golf academy for lessons. The facility's magnificent clubhouse features a great bar and grill, as well as banquet, wedding and meeting facilities.
