Course Overview

Cocks Moors Woods was founded back in 1926 and was designed by Fred Hawtree and JH Taylor. The club offers golfers a fully licenced bar and restaurant where golfers can enjoy food before and after their round, and on a nice day you will often find people out on the terrace which overlooks the 10th hole. Cocks Moors Woods Golf Club also has a fully stocked pro shop. Opened in 1926, this mature woodland course of Hawtree and Taylor design offers a good test of golf. Although not the longest course at just 5,784 yards, this undulating layout is defended by several testing features; namely the ‘Chinn Brook’ which comes into play on ten fairways, the famed ‘Bomb hole' par 3 5th and the stern double dogleg par 5 12th.
