Course Overview

Club Renaissance is a semi-private facility in Southern Hillsborough County. Since opening in 2002, the par-72 design, which stretches from 3,982 to 6,701 yards, has established itself as “the” place to play in the area. There are a lot of outstanding aspects to Chip Powell’s 18-hole layout of Club Renaissance. Despite having significant water on nearly every hole, playability is perhaps its biggest virtue. Members and visitors can choose from seven sets of tee decks to make the game truly enjoyable without taking any of the challenges out of it. The front nine has an open links feel with welcoming fairways and greens. The back nine requires more accuracy as it meanders through a large conservation area and most fairways are lined with tall pines and mature oaks. Powell, a Florida-based golf course architect, creates drama on a relatively flat, yet rolling property, with strategic tee shots over and around ponds, especially on No. 3, 8, 10 and 12, which is a fun island-like par-3 with little room for error. It also features a testing finish over four solid closing holes. The Club Renaissance course is complemented by a magnificent Mediterranean-style clubhouse. The full-service facility includes an expansive golf shop, swimming pool, spa, fitness center, and an outstanding restaurant.
