Course Overview

Clonmel Golf Club, founded in 1911, is one of the oldest golf clubs in the province of Munster. It enlisted the help of designer Eddie Hackett to expand to 18 holes in 1973. The rolling parkland course is a par 71, measuring 6,366 yards from the back tees. Challenges include undulating fairways, meandering streams, mature trees and sloped greens. Hole 14 is the signature hole, a 185-yard par 3 that plays from elevated tees down to a green with out-of-bounds on the right, a stream and bunker in front, all beneath swirling winds. Clonmel Golf Club's alpine-style clubhouse fits in with the nearby fir and pine covered Comeragh Mountains with views of the River Suir valley and rolling Waterford and Tipperary countryside.
