Course Overview
Located only a short 20-minute drive from Glasgow, Clober Golf Club is easily accessible from Bearsden, Clydebank & the West End of Glasgow. Measuring just 4963 yards, this par 66 demands accuracy & precision rather than length from the tee. The course was designed by George Lyle, uncle of Open & Masters champion Sandy Lyle MBE who remains Clober’s Honorary President. With 8 par-3 hoes at Clober, scoring can be difficult as the majority of these holes require medium to long iron shots to relatively small greens. The short part three sixth is a fun little hole and extremely picturesque. A number of par fours are very reachable and the closing few holes, especially the 18th, allow you to attack the flag, a great asset on any course, whatever the length. Tree lined fairways and well positioned bunkering give each hole a great definition throughout the course. Visitors can expect to find a warm welcome & friendly atmosphere in the clubhouse. An extensive bar and restaurant menu is available for guests to prepare for the round ahead or to refresh themselves having already plotted their way round the course.
