Course Overview
If you?re looking for a really good nine-hole loop that?s a great value and enjoyable, Chinook Cove Golf Club fits the bill. Located below an RV park, the course, which is owned and operated by the Mitchell family in Barriere, British Columbia, is a well-maintained layout that plays nearly 3,400 yards from the tips and has three sets of tees. There are elevated tees and greens, plenty of bunkers and some water that comes into play. While the course is hilly, it is very walkable, and powered carts are available, too. And while the course isn?t super difficult, it?s a good test, especially from the back tees. Chinook Cove Golf Club opens with two par 5s that play a little more than 500 yards. For better players they are certainly early scoring opportunities. Two of the layout?s most difficult holes are the shortest. The no. 1 handicap hole is the 210-yard, par-3 sixth, while the 190-yard par-3 fourth is the no. 2 handicap hole. The course does not have a driving range, but there is a clubhouse, where you will find the 19th Hole Restaurant. Menu offerings include great appetizers and burgers, Cobb salad, fish and chips, and a variety of beverages.
