Course Overview
Both people and dog friendly, Buncrana Golf Course is a casual 12-hole, par-3 layout, where fun is the name of the game. Formerly known as Sheffield Golf Course, the family-owned course has undergone some important changes over the years, most notably converted from a flat course to one with undulation on the fairways and slopes on the greens. Located few minutes away from the picturesque village of Sheffield, near African Lion Safari, and across from the Rockton Airfield, watching the gliders while you play is all part of the experience. As for the course, the holes range from the 74-yard 12th to the 143-yard seventh hole. At Buncrana Golf Course, there is no dress code; come as you are. And children (accompanied by an adult), dogs, and players of all abilities are welcome. The golf course is open for both daily fee and members. The facility also offers footgolf and disc golf. And instruction is also available for anyone looking for a little help with their game. The Buncrana Cafe is open every day from 8 a.m. Menu items include breakfast combos with crepes, a wide variety of perogies, Angus burgers, and a wide variety of beers and cocktails.
