The club has hosted a range of events such as the Ryder Cup Wales PGA Young Professionals Championship in 2005. The grade 2 listed clubhouse building, which was extended in 2004, provides a relaxing environment for golfers and comprises of two lounges and a bar. Measuring 5424 yards, par 66 for men and 70 for ladies, the course provides a challenge for golfers who have to overcome a range of natural aspects such as woodland, ponds and the River Chewfri which runs throughout the course. The 16th hole is perhaps the trickiest to play at Builth Wells, with a dogleg fairway split in two by the river and the green surrounded by four bunkers.
