Course Overview
The county of Hertfordshire is blessed with numerous fine courses and Brickendon Grange Golf Club is no exception to that rule. The club was established in the late 1960s with the course being designed by C.K. Cotton and set in 160 acres of rolling countryside. The club is situated in the parish of Brickendon just south of Hertford enjoying the peaceful surroundings, yet easily accessible from the north of London which lies just 30 miles away. The club has all modern amenities to be taken advantage of when visiting the club which overlooks the 18th green - perfect to watch other players completing their rounds. The mature-parkland course at Brickendon Grange Golf Club was set in the eyes of C.K. Cotton who famously designed the renowned Old Course at St. Pierre. Anyone playing the course is assured of a pleasurable time with superb conditions and playability to match. The course entails a variety of hazards with tree-lined fairways to negotiate off the tee and no less than eight water hazards on approach to the slick greens. The signature 17th hole ‘Ace of Herts’ is undisputedly one of the best holes in Hertfordshire. With trees and bunkers down either side of the fairway and an approach shot over water to a raised green doesn’t make for easy scoring, but is a good reminder to plot your way around the course.
