Course Overview

Blainroe Golf Club boasts stunning views of the sea from all of its 18 holes. Despite its location near the coastline, it has a distinctly parkland layout. The course opened in 1978 but it has undergone a series of renovations over the years including a redesign of all the tees and greens to USGA championship standards in 2005. It has always been known for being exceptionally well maintained. The golf course offers a variety of different holes that require some thought and strategy. The tricky 14th hole is the course's signature. It is a short but demanding par-4 whose tee shot is played across cliffs to an uphill fairway with the sea and out-of-bounds to the right and a large forest to the left. There is also a treacherous fairway bunker to the right that should be avoided. It then plays onto a small, narrow green that is well protected by a deep bunker to the left and mounding to the right. Don't let your guard down after you finish though because it is immediately followed by a difficult par-3 that plays into the prevailing wind.
