Course Overview
Established in 1906, Allendale Golf Club is a traditional community venue which welcomes visitors to pay and play as well as societies and groups of golfers. Much of the club is run on a voluntary basis which only adds to the warmth and local feel the club boasts. Being set in the South West of Northumberland also spoils you with fantastic views and its rural setting really makes this a hidden gem. The 18 hole course is based on playing a 9 hole loop twice from two different tee positions. Itβs not a long course; however there is 100ft gradients running from one end of the course to the other meaning most holes need careful consideration of club selection. Each green is well protected and the natural gradient means visiting each green twice is a positive, allowing the golfer a better feel on the back nine. While many modern courses sport the "big hitter" approach, Allendale Golf Course is designed to test your accuracy and not your strength.
