Course Overview
Just 20 minutes from St. Louis in the town of Waterloo, Ill., Acorns Golf Links is popular and highly-rated 18-hole public facility. Designed by William Ebeler and opened in 1997, the par-72 course measures 6,701 yards with five sets of tees. Ranked 4.5 stars on GolfPass, it is described as a traditional golf course with a links feel to it. The golf course has no homes on it, just well-kept holes. It features zoysia fairways and bentgrass greens, and there is water on several holes as well as plenty of bunkers. Acorns Golf Links also offers a driving range, chipping green and practice putting green. Inside the clubhouse is a well-stocked golf shop as well as a popular bar and grill, which is open for lunch every day and open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. The menu includes house-made pizza, burgers, wings, a variety of entrees, soft drinks and beer.
