Course overview
Established as a 9-hole course in 1891 in 142 acres of East Lancashire countryside, the course was then extended in 1902 to the full 18 holes. This was also the year that the clubhouse was built overlooking the final hole of the course and which offers changing rooms, Sky Sports television and a fully stocked bar. A golfer’s score can really be made in the middle of the round, between the 7th and 11th holes which is made up of tricky par 3 and 5s. Although a relatively short course, Pleasington Golf Club should not be underestimated as there are several tricky par 4s that look like a safe par but can easily ruin a card.
