Course overview
Set in the heart of Warwickshire countryside between the ancient towns of Warwick, Leamington Spa and Coventry, Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club is, as its name implies, an old deer park with the beautiful River Avon running through its centre. The club has its 18-hole Tantara Course as well as a 9-hole, par 3, Avon Course for those looking to warm up their iron game or if you have limited time for a full round. The clubhouse provides a wide variety of meals from bar snacks to an à la carte menu. The 18-hole Tantara Course at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club measures just over 6,000 yards in length, with a par of 71. It offers a varied landscape to challenge the best golfers with its many ancient oak and sweet chestnut trees, some reputed to be over 300 years old. The greens provide the finest possible putting surface, helped by an automatic irrigation system. The most challenging par 3 on the course is the 6th which measures 235 yards with a green surrounded by five bunkers, and you will see many warming up on the Avon Course to ensure their long iron game is on form. A solid shot is needed off the tee to walk off with a par, but a bogey is certainly not a bad result. The River Avon runs through the course and is a significant hazard on four of the 18 holes.
